We've been trying to take Ginny for a daily walk to build up her strength after more than a month of extremely restricted activity. Unfortunately during the summer, it feels like we live on the surface of the sun.
We don't have sidewalks near our house, and the asphalt is far too hot for Ginny's feet, so we have to drive to a place that does have sidewalks. That usually means my school, but lately there have been all sorts of people and other dogs there, so that's been a challenge. Sometimes we've lucked out at other schools and sometimes we've just given up after driving to three or four places!
We were successful today, much to Ginny's disappointment, but even at 5:30 pm, it felt like over 100 degrees. WHY DO WE LIVE HERE?!? I ask myself this question every single summer! And then also again every winter when we don't get nearly enough snow for my liking! I'm so done with this hot weather and really, really, REALLY looking forward to cooler temperatures!
