We've been to a lantern festival at the same location twice before, so we knew what to expect. We arrived a little after 6 pm, checked in, picked up our lanterns, and found a spot to get settled. Music, food trucks, and of course, people watching, made the time pass quickly until it was time to launch the lanterns when it was dark!
We each decorated a lantern and while mine is pretty predictable, C's is hilarious! I was joking with a friend today that he's journeyed through the various stages of grief over the past week since the Leafs were eliminated and he's now arrived at acceptance. LOL!

I didn't take as many photos as I did during the two previous lantern festivals, so you can see the 2017 post HERE and you can see the 2018 post HERE for additional pics! Instead of worrying about taking photos, I was determined to enjoy every moment of the event last night!
It was SO wonderful. I cried a lot, which is nothing new, but there was something about experiencing the evening, after almost 15 months of the pandemic, with other people who were also just happy to be there. There was definitely a feeling in the air that we were all grateful to be out, with other humans, on a beautiful night. Magical.
Happy Tails to you!
