WDW April 2022

This is a quick post to share a very short trip to WDW! We were only there for about 30 hours, and there's a two-part explanation for this: 1) we had two park day tickets from a previously canceled trip that needed to be used, and 2) WDW was on our way to our spring break adventure.

We left our house at 10:00 pm on Friday night, drove to Florida, and were at Epcot at 11:30 am on Saturday morning.  We had the rest of Saturday and most of Sunday to enjoy the parks, and we lucked out tremendously as far as the weather was concerned! We spent Saturday night at All Star Movies, we had breakfast yesterday at Whispering Canyon Cafe (the vegetarian skillet is delicious), and even though it was a very short trip, we had a great time!

We currently have no plans to come back to WDW any time soon, so I was super sad when we left Magic Kingdom at 5:30 pm yesterday. We love WDW! Obviously! But between the park reservations and the lack of annual pass sales, we are finding things frustrating because the new way of doing things there does not align with the type of guests we are. Case in point...during this trip, we rode one attraction, the PeopleMover, and did one character meet-and-greet, for which we waited less than ten minutes. That's it! We are not "rope drop to fireworks" people. We never have been and we never will be. We like to roam around and go from park to park, depending on what strikes our fancy; we don't want to plan out the entire day and worry about Lightning Lane and Genie+ and whatever other nonsense they come up with. We still love WDW; we have created so many happy memories there together, and we know we'll be back, we just don't know when! Beyond the annoyances of how WDW is running right now, the reality is that there are SO MANY places we want to visit in the world. We have some really big trips lined up over the next few years and we'll be focusing on planning those, meaning WDW is going to be taking a back seat for now!

This morning, we are headed to Miami!

Happy Tails to you!
