We started Friday morning with a wake-up call in the form of cappuccinos delivered to our cottage at 5:30 and left for our morning game drive at 6:00 am! We had a fantastic morning filled with beautiful scenery and animals, with the highlights being two herds of elephants and a pride of lions. Absolutely amazing! We were also treated to breakfast, freshly prepared outdoors by our driver and our spotter and because of the location they selected, we found ourselves surrounded by at least nine elephants in the bushes and trees (there may have been more, but we counted nine!).
We returned to the lodge at 1:00 pm, had lunch, and then spent the rest of the day relaxing in our room. We opted not to go out that evening and I'm so glad we just stayed at the lodge; as much as I love doing stuff, I also love NOT doing stuff, too!
