October is such a great month to visit Florida...it's sunny and warm, but the heat and humidity are no longer oppressive! We really lucked out last weekend with gorgeous weather the entire time and this, coupled with a stay at Coronado Springs, made for a perfect weekend.
Coronado Springs has really rocketed to the top of our list of favorite resorts. The theming is lovely, it's generally very quiet, and it's location is great! During this run of one-trip-to-WDW-per-month, we are trying to stay at a different resort each time, but we'd be happy to stay at Coronado Springs any time!
Both our August and September trips were fairly go-go-go, which is not how we usually like to spend our time at WDW, and we committed to a slower paced, more relaxing trip this time. It was wonderful! We did go Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios, but we spent a good chunk of time at the resort and we also went to Disney Springs, which we hadn't done in a long time. I think we only rode four attractions the entire trip and that's kind of how we like it. Of course the rides are great, but they are not why we go!
Deciding to do these trips has already proven to be my exact idea of self-care and when the world is awful and the atrocities seem endless, I feel so lucky to be able to escape for a couple of days with my favorite person to fill my bucket with a little bit of magic.

all the buses are cute, but I really love this Coco bus! |
this BB-8 sipper was a frivolous and yet somehow necessary purchase (note that it matches the shirt I was wearing) |
