Summer Disney Adventure: Day 6

We had a busy day today because we moved from Art of Animation to Pop Century! C and I love staying here - fun theming and great transportation options to the parks! We got all of our things packed up and a cast member from bell services picked up the oxygen tanks, large oxygen concentrator, and our suitcases. My mom decided to use the scooter again today with the portable oxygen concentrator, so that left the wheelchair and the oxygen tank on the trolley, so I walked those over to Pop Century while my mom waited at AoA. While I was there, I got us checked out of AoA and checked into Pop Century, then I went back over to AoA and we took the bus to Disney Springs.

After a fun afternoon, we took the bus back to Pop Century once our room was available. We picked up the wheelchair and the oxygen tank on the trolley, and everything else was delivered to our room within 15 minutes! Once again, I was impressed! My mom rested for a while and I wandered around the resort and took photos. We ordered dinner and hung out in our room. While it was a lot of work to switch hotels, it's fun to be staying in a different place for a couple of nights!

Happy Tails to you!

Summer Disney Adventure: Day 5

We've been using a wheelchair to get my mom around since we've arrived, but we decided to have her use the scooter today. We went over to Epcot on the SkyLiner, and it was just as easy as going with the wheelchair! I was pretty impressed! One thing I was not expecting was how crowded the SkyLiner would be - when we transferred to the Epcot line at Caribbean Beach, the line was so long that it extended all the way down the sidewalk! It took about 25 minutes to get through the line, but since it was constantly moving, the wait wasn't actually too bad.

We spent the day at Epcot, with a mid-day break over at Beaches and Cream. Although it was pretty warm, the humidity was much less intense than the past few days, and there was a lot of cloud cover. The heat and humidity make a huge difference for my mom's breathing, so whenever the weather is agreeable, it's a good day!

Unfortunately, that cloud cover brought with it some crazy intense storms, and we ended up leaving Epcot around 5:30pm on a bus because the SkyLiner had suspended its operation due to lightning. As you can see in the little video clip below, the rain was no joke (I took this when the bus stopped at Pop Century on its way to AoA)!

We decided to stay in for the rest of the night and order dinner through Door Dash again. Two days in a row getting caught in the rain left us grateful for a warm, dry hotel room! Tomorrow we are changing hotels - when our flight was cancelled last week and we had to reschedule things, one of the hiccups was that AoA was not available for two additional nights. So we are heading to Pop Century tomorrow, which is right across the bridge on the other side of the SkyLiner station!

Happy Tails to you!
