For this final leg of our trip, we stayed in another Airbnb. When we booked it, the location seemed perfect because it was a five-minute train ride from the parks. Of course, that was before the transit strike, so the place was not nearly as conveniently located as we had anticipated and we ended up taking an uber to and from the parks every day. Not a big deal, but it did require more planning and waiting around than we would have preferred!
After we picked up up our luggage at the train station, we took an uber so we could check in at our Airbnb. The owner met us and he was very nice, showing us around and answering questions. The place itself was just beautiful! Spacious, clean, modern, with several Disney art prints on display...we loved it! And the artwork you see when you walk into the apartment? Up. We were clearly meant to stay there!
We spent Thursday and Friday splitting our time between the apartment and the parks, because it was cold and rainy, but the weather on Saturday, our last day, was spectacular, so I was finally able to get a few good photos!
While Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant - Sleeping Beauty Castle - is absolutely my favorite castle, the management of the parks leaves much to be desired. My main complaint is the smoking. It is everywhere (including in lines for attractions) and it is disgusting. I could go on and on about how much I despise it, but I will just say that I expect a lot more from a Disney park. Completely unacceptable.
We flew home on Air France, which was so superior to our experience on Virgin Atlantic! We try to always take a selfie on the plane of each of our trips - I put one at the top of this post - however, in doing so, we obviously take many that are "fails" for one reason or another, which are immediately deleted.
I've decided to share one of our "fails" because while it is far from a perfect picture, it does capture us perfectly. After two weeks alone, one might think we'd be kind of sick of each other. But as you can see, that was not the case. C was making me laugh, as he has since our first conversation back in 1988. If you want to know what a ridiculously happy marriage looks like, here you go:
Happy Tails to you!
