Disneyland Paris February 2019

Annual Passes to DLP!

Wednesday, February 13

We checked out of our beautiful hotel room and took the train to Disneyland Paris. This was our fourth visit to DLP; the first was a day trip in 2007, while we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel on the two subsequent trips in 2016 and 2017. This time, we stayed at one of the other Disney resorts: Sequoia Lodge. Overall, it was a very nice resort, and it was fun to stay at a new place!

Instead of breaking down our visit by the day, I'm just going to do a quick summary and then let the photos do the talking!

We bought Annual Passes! It's fascinating to look at the ticket prices of the different Disney Parks, and for us, two multi-day trips to DLP in a year's time more than justified the very reasonable cost of the annual passes!

So right now we have annual passes to Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and Disneyland Paris! While we certainly won't be visiting DLP as often as we go to WDW, we do plan on going back later this year.

We were so fortunate in terms of the weather...it was cool during the day and cold at night, but sunny and beautiful the whole time!

The castle at DLP is my favorite. Even though we've only seen four of the six in person so far, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant is the most stunning. I absolutely love it!

We had a ton of fun over the four days we spent in the parks, despite some things that we didn't love. First, smoking continues to be a major issue. People smoke wherever and whenever they want. In line for attractions, in crowds waiting for the parade, in front of No Smoking signs. It seems like no one cares. And I was thoroughly disgusted. Secondly, the cast members are no better than our previous visits...disinterested is the nicest thing I can say about them. Lastly, compared to WDW, DLR, and Tokyo Disneyland, which are the other parks with which we have personal experience, there are so few food options at DLP! Snacking is part of the Disney Parks experience and the options are pitiful at DLP! They really need to step up their game!

Still, I love DLP! Obviously we are most at home at WDW, and in addition to trips over the years, we've been to DLR thee times since August, so we like to think we're becoming experts there, too. It's so fun to "learn" a park and DLP is feeling more and more familiar to us! We can't wait to go back later this year!
