Nevertheless, She Persisted

March is Women's History Month, and this is simply a collection of some famous women I personally admire. This particular group of women includes authors, astronauts, musicians, actresses, executives, artists, lawyers, activists, and teachers. Each has inspired me in some way...some have made me laugh until tears roll down my cheeks, some have taken me to other worlds through their art, some have made me ponder life's big questions, and some have helped me dream while I stargaze at night. These are tough, strong, bold, brilliant women.

The final three are the most important women in my life and they mean everything to me. The challenges each has overcome is nothing short of incredible. I owe them everything and it is my life's goal to make these three women proud.

In a way it's kind of pathetic that we have to designate a month to celebrate Women's History; how can the contributions of one-half of the population be limited to recognition during one-twelfth of the year? That math makes no sense!
