This will be a very brief post – just wanted to share photos
of the Magic Bands that arrived today!
Disney is testing these bands that allow you to enter your hotel room,
enter the parks, access your fast passes, and make purchases.
We jumped at the chance to try these and
already have nine fast passes on our Magic Bands for our trip to WDW in a few weeks. In my opinion, this is possibly the best feature because we won't have to go to each attraction separately and hope that the fast pass return times will work for us - we were able to select from several choices for each attraction and coordinate the times that made the most sense. We were able to secure three fast passes per day, all three of which had to be from the same park. So we've got three for Magic Kingdom, three for Epcot, and three for Hollywood Studios.
So far, I am pretty impressed with the system. I'll report back after the trip as to how things go...we are keeping our fingers crossed for no glitches since these Magic Bands are still in the testing phase.
They come in a variety of colors and can be personalized with your name.
Bonus points to you if you know why the names are Ellie and
Carl. :-)
