We almost had our monthly streak of trips to WDW interrupted in February, but fortunately we were able to make it happen! Our trip was originally planned for February 17-19, which was Presidents' Day weekend, meaning Monday was a holiday. However, Avalanche ended up having surgery on February 8 (a story for another day), and he was recovering and on several different medications. We didn't want to leave him until the meds were finished and he was feeling better, so we canceled our trip and ended up rebooking it for the last weekend in February. We were worried about resort availability and crowds in the park because it was a marathon weekend, but we were able to find one night at Pop Century and easily rescheduled our flights. It ended up being a very short trip, from Saturday morning to Sunday evening, but I was glad we were able to keep our streak going! A shorter trip also meant less time away from Avalanche, even though he LOVES his dog hotel and never gives us so much as a backward glance when we drop him!
Given the very limited less-than-36-hours, we did feel a little rushed trying to do as much as we could, but we went to three of the parks, had dinner at Beaches and Cream, and had lunch at Sci-Fi Dine In Theater, so it was absolutely a great trip! The nice thing about these weekend trips is knowing if we don't get to do something, we'll be back soon!
