Asia July 2026: Tokyo Disneyland Hotel

Since this was our second trip to Tokyo Disneyland, I figured it would be easy for me to create a single post to cover everything from our visit, but as I was going through my phone, I realized that there are just too many pics for a single post, so instead, I'm going to break it up into three posts to keep it manageable!

This first post includes our stay at the Disneyland Hotel along with what I'm just categorizing as other miscellaneous pics from around the resort that aren't specific to either of the theme parks (the second post will be about Tokyo Disneyland and the third post will be about Tokyo DisneySea).

On Friday, we took an uber from the Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo over to the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, which took about 45 minutes. We checked in for our four-night stay, dropped off our luggage, and sorted out our park tickets. We had purchased a two-day package that came with tickets for Saturday and Sunday, but we needed to purchase separate tickets for Friday and Monday. I'm not going to lie...this was kind of a frustrating experience because you can only purchase park tickets online or on the app - no park tickets are sold in person! - and getting them purchased and linked correctly was a bit of a headache. However, once we got that figured out, we headed over to Disneyland for the day!

As you'll see throughout all of my pictures, we only caught fleeting glimpses of the sun during our entire time at Tokyo Disneyland and while this didn't make for those beautiful pics that come with a brilliant blue sky, we were grateful for the clouds and the rain because it helped to combat the extremely hot weather!

As I mentioned, this was our second trip to Disneyland Tokyo, with the first being nine years ago in April 2017, and both times we've stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, which is SPECTACULAR. There are a few other hotels on property and we'd like to stay at them on future return visits, but we absolutely love the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and were very excited to get to stay there again!

Both our room location and the view from our room were great, even though the room had two twin beds and a third child-size daybed sort of situation happening in a cute little alcove in the room! LOL!

It's literally only a two-minute walk from the door of the hotel to the Disneyland entrance, only a one-minute walk to the monorail which takes guests around to the other parts of the resort, including DisneySea, and just a ten-minute walk to Ikspiari, the "Downtown Disney" shopping and dining area. Truly a dream location because we were able to go back to the room very easily to rest or escape the rain when necessary and when we checked out this morning for the next leg of our trip, we were so sad to say goodbye to this fabulous hotel!

the cutest toiletries!

we went over to the Ambassador Hotel,
which is so beautiful!

we would have loved to visit this hotel,
but they don't allow anyone in
except guests who are staying there...
but anyone is free to walk in and visit
the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel,
which is vastly superior
and a much more expensive property!
#makeitmakesense

it was cute from the monorail, though

same story here...so no pics from inside

the monorails are clean, quiet, efficient,
AND adorable!

we left a little piece of Avalanche behind

These last two pictures, taken from our room, really depict how absolutely bonkers rope drop is at Tokyo Disneyland!

the park was opening at 9:00 am
and this pic was taken at 6:00 am...
people were lining up three hours before opening!

this pic was taken two hours later at 8:00 am
and I couldn't even come close to getting the entire
crowd in the photo...an hour before park opening and it
was complete madness!

The next blog will be all about Tokyo Disneyland!

Happy Tails to you!
