Dog Backpack

We bought a dog backpack for Ginny and it arrived today, so we put her in it to see how it fits. You can see how thrilled she is about it.

You may recall that we'd bought a tote bag for her and she despised it at first, but now enjoys being carried in it. Kind of hoping the same thing will happen with this backpack!

We'll try it out this weekend and put a smaller blanket in the bottom of it so she'll be able to sit lower inside the backpack (definitely a factor in how annoyed she was!). She scrambled out of it at the first opportunity and I had to buy back her affection with a treat.

We still plan on using the tote bag, but thought we'd try a backpack to see if it would be easier on longer walks. Even though she's a small dog, carrying her on one shoulder for long distances gets tiring, so we'll see if a backpack is better in that regard!
