Local History Tour

Back in 2000, I went to Space Academy for Educators and while I loved the program so much, the best thing to come out of that week was meeting my friend Dan. He lives in Seattle, and over the years, we've gotten together when C and I have been in Washington - most recently, on our trip out there this past November, the three of us went to a Kraken game together.

This time, he came to the east coast for a week and it was so great to have so much time to hang out and be tourists around here! He stayed at our house and we took day trips around the area, and although C had to work during the week, he hung out with us on the weekend - we purposely saved Mount Vernon for Sunday because neither C nor I had been there before!

I didn't take a ton of photos - and at some places, I didn't really take any! - but it was the best week! I was reminded of how interesting this entire area is and how much history lives here!

We ate at some east coast and local restaurants, but it's safe to say that out of places that don't exist in Seattle, Wawa was the big winner. If you've ever been to the west coast, you know how pathetic their gas stations are, so it's no surprise that Dan was highly impressed by Wawa! LOL!

We were busy every single day and even though he was here for an entire week, the time passed far too quickly. Hopefully it won't be too long before we see each other again!

Happy Tails to you!
