In addition to our cruise over spring break, we went to two fun events in D.C. in April.
The first was a very cool space exhibit at The Kennedy Center called The Moonwalkers; we love all things space and it was so well done!
The second was seeing Steven Page perform at The Hamilton and this was our sixth time seeing him live in the D.C. area since 2018 (once in 2019, twice in 2019, and twice in 2022). This was our first time seeing any show at The Hamilton, which was a great venue and I'd go back there again in a heartbeat. Steven Page is my favorite singer on the planet and his show was incredible as always!
While we went to the concert, Avalanche stayed alone for six hours which is the LONGEST he has EVER been alone and he spent the whole time waiting by the laundry room door. He certainly knows how to make us feel guilty! LOL!
We spent the first weekend of the month driving Avalanche up to Canada to spend spring break with C's mom and dad and we stopped in Scranton on our way so I could see the mural of The Office, which wasn't there when we went to Scranton a few years ago. I'm so happy we stopped, even though the weather was terrible!
When we left Avalanche in Canada, C's dad took him for a walk to distract him so we could slip away. As you can see, it worked like a charm!
C ended up doing A LOT of driving over three days! He drove us home from our cruise on Saturday, April 19 which took 14.5 hours due to traffic and slow downs; on Sunday, April 20, he drove 9.5 hours up to Canada to pick up Avalanche (I didn't go because I had to work on Monday, April 21); and then on Monday, April 21, he drove 9 hours home from Canada with Avalanche! It was a total of 33 hours of driving over the course of 58 hours!

the pic and text I got when C arrived in Canada to get Avalanche... I love him so much! |
Finally, I ended the month with a quick but super fun there-and-back-in-a-day trip to WDW with my best friend! This is one of the best souvenirs I've ever bought - Avalanche's silhouette!
Avalanche has been ours for 28 months today and we count our lucky starts for him because he is such a chill, well-behaved dog who has brought so much love and a ton of fur into our lives!
Both C and I have birthdays in May, so it should be a good month!
Happy Tails to you!
